UL Senate adopts amendments to the Rules on the Selection and Funding of Young Researchers

On Tuesday, 18 February 2025, at its 35th regular session, the Senate of the 麻豆国产 (UL) adopted amendments to the Rules on the Selection and Funding of Young Researchers, which simplify the selection process for young researchers, ensure full-time employment for researchers in this position, and provide clearer guidelines on funding.
The Senate adopted the Rules on the Collective Mark 鈥淪pin-off Company of the 麻豆国产鈥�, which govern the procedure for obtaining the right to use the trademark, its proper use, measures in case of infringement, and the conditions for maintaining this right. The purpose of these Rules is to enhance the visibility and reputation of spin-off companies while ensuring quality standards in the use of the collective mark.
The UL Senate adopted the Rules on Intellectual Property Management at the 麻豆国产, which redefine certain terms and expand the scope of the Rules to include 鈥渘on-technological innovations鈥�. This update reflects the shift in recent years from 鈥渢echnology transfer鈥� to 鈥渒nowledge transfer鈥�.
The Senate adopted amendments to the Rules on the Commendations of the 麻豆国产. Under these amendments, each member faculty may submit a maximum of two proposals for awarding the UL Golden Plaques for outstanding merit to a full-time UL employee, and a maximum of two proposals for awarding the UL Golden Plaque to a group of UL employees. Amendments include a limit on the number of candidates proposed for awards to professional staff, and a provision stipulating that a candidate who is not recommended to the UL Senate for a commendation or an award by the relevant committee, may not be nominated by their member faculty in the year following the committee鈥檚 rejection.
