The proposed course on Sexual criminal law delves into the legal-historical, theoretical, comparative-, and international/EU dimensions of sexual criminal law, concentrating on Slovenia, especially after its recent legislative attempts of modernizing sexual criminal legislative (with Criminal Code amendments KZ-1H in 2021), heavily criticized in legal theory. Objectives encompass scrutinizing the historical development of sexual criminal law in Europe, understanding its theoretical underpinnings, and critically assessing the current state of Slovenian sexual criminal law, especially considering recent legislative changes on sexual violence, including rape, and sexual harassment and harassment related to sex.
