Notice to data subjects under article 13 of the general data protection regulation (GDFPR) regarding the processing of personal data

Purpose of processing: We perform video surveillance to ensure the safety of people, property and equipment, and to supervise entry into and exit from the premises.

Legal basis: Points (c) and (e) of Article 6(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Chapter 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2, Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 163/22) and the Decision on the introduction and implementation of video surveillance at the UL Rector's Office and the authorisation to monitor the video surveillance system.

Users: Contractual processor 鈥� private security service provider (Valina varovanje, dru啪ba za varovanje d.o.o., Litijska cesta 45, Ljubljana).

Retention period: Recordings from the video surveillance system shall be stored for a maximum of 5 months from the moment of recording, after which they shall be automatically deleted. Recordings shall be stored longer than the specified period only and exclusively in exceptional or loss events or in the event of conduct by persons that endangers the protected areas, property and/or the safety of people. In such cases, the recordings shall be stored at least until the arrival of the state authority responsible for detecting or prosecuting criminal offenses, or another competent authority.

Exercising your rights: By calling +386 (0)1/241-85-00 or by sending a written request to the controller's address, you can exercise the following rights at any time: access to personal data (in which case we will ask you to specify the exact time when you were on the premises that are under video surveillance), rectification (only partial due to the nature of the processing), and in certain cases, objection and restriction of processing.

Possibility of lodging a complaint: You can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (address: Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana). Other information: Personal data (a recording of your image) shall be collected when you enter the video-monitored area; if you do not want your personal data (the recording of your image) to be processed, you will not be able to enter the premises where video surveillance is carried out; security guards or receptionists may also monitor events live on screen.
